The "He"

Sneha's night shift welcomed her erratically. When the entire world was sleeping, corporate sector compelled Sneha to work vigorously as if being compensated for the extra bucks. She did not want to make her life tough by bumping into people with the complain and therefore she could not revolt against the system. She congratulated herself secretly and got to work. Because of these uncanny working hours, Sneha could not pay attention to her sleeping routine and the spike in her graph of regular sleeping habit was disturbed terribly. As a result, she had to face problems while sleeping for couple of days after her night shift was no longer in progress.

One fine night Sneha dozed off early accompanying dreadful headache. Her eyes flicked open when she was in a deep slumber. She could sense someone standing right next to her bed. Being too terrified she could not even turn her head around to see who was it.

She could feel the failing level of her body which was in an utter static position now. The heavy snuffling could be heard by Sneha which made her furious. Her first instinct was to run towards the light switch to see what it was and that's what she exactly did . She sprang from her bed towards the switch board to switch on the lights, but the lights didn't turn on and she staggered on her trembling legs to find that her very own body was lying there on the bed. She had not moved a bit. She was taken aback.

Within moments, she realized that she was once again in her body and could sense the heavy breathing sounds again towards the left side of her bed. She was helpless and was dreadfully scared for the noise grew louder along with the ticking of the clock. She could not even turn her head around, because she knew, the consequences might be fatal.Yet she tried to move her head with all her might but couldn't succeed. The intensity of darkness in the room grew more darker. 

Sneha was very much sure that she was not dreaming.

Her eyes were wide opened in perplexity and fear. She was stuck in between two different worlds, where she could find herself completely paralyzed with no control over her body. It felt as if she was smacked between two alarming circumstances.

Sneha while being laid on the bed tries to figure out if she was dead. All the scary and horrifying movie scenes started haunting her conscious mind. "I must have ended up in hell or maybe this is my afterlife", she thought to herself.

Some more moments passed when she sprang back to life again. The first thing that she did was switch on the lights. Her ebony cupboard stood tall like a man when she turned around to look next to her bedside, but she was startled to see that "He" was standing right there! -  all with pale white face and ghoulish looks just beside the wardrobe towards the left side of her bed breathing all heavily with a quirky bloody smile.

Sneha could not dare to go back to her bed then. The incident made her trembled like a leaf.
